2022 Festival: Local Author
Born and raised in the Eastern Townships, Maurice J.O. Crossfield spent nearly 15 years as a daily newspaper reporter at the Sherbrooke Record. He then struck out on his own as a professional writer, translator, and editor-in-chief at Harrowsmith.
He is currently working on Borderline Truths, a sequel to his debut novel, The Granby Liar. It delves deeper into Dave’s troubled past, unearthing new dangers as he seeks to learn what really happened to his father, what’s real, and what’s a “borderline” truth.
He lives in the village of West Brome with his wife, musician and artist Sarah Biggs, and their collection of dogs and cats.
His last book, The Granby Liar (2017), is into its second printing.
