Peter McAuslan

Peter McAuslan, born in 1946 is a native of Lachine, Quebec. He earned a BA at Montreal’s Sir George Williams University (now Concordia University) and worked as an educational admi­nistrator for 13 years prior to founding McAuslan Brewing Inc. in 1988 and overseeing it until 2013. Peter founded the McAuslan Malting and Distilling Company in 2007 and continues to produce Peter McAuslan’s Spirits for Quebec consumers. Peter has two adult children Taylor and Todd and lives in Sutton Quebec with his partner Ellen Bounsall and their four dogs. ​ Peter was named to the Order of Canada in 2017, recognized as a pioneer in craft brewing and for his support of the arts.
